How long does the jam last?
All of our preserves have a shelf life of 18 months. The best by date is stamped on the label under the ingredient section. Once you open your jar store it in the fridge - it should last for 1-3 months.
Do you make any sugar-free products?
Due to the fact that we make products with fruit we don’t have any totally sugar-free products. However we don’t add any sugar to our Apple Butter. Also we use about 1/2 the sugar compared to most other jam companies so we tend to have less added sugar than many other jams you might find in the store.
Do you make Fig Jam /Orange Marmalade /Passion Fruit Preserves, ETC?
We source all of our main produce from Michigan. We are dedicated to highlighting the terroir of the upper midwest and want to use fruit from this area. If you know of a source for Michigan grown Figs please let us know.
That’s fantastic! Shoot us an email and we’ll be sure to follow up with that!
I know of a shop/restaurant that should carry your preserves!
The Cellar Door Preserves Kitchen/Warehouse/Office is located at 511 Leonard St. NE Grand Rapids, MI. It is a working food manufacturing facility.
We LOVE it when customers stop by and we’ll happily sell you jam through the window if we’re around when you come. We try our best to make sure someone is at the kitchen Monday - Thursday 9am-2pm, and we might be there outside of those hours.
However, we are a small business that tries to operate as efficiently as possible so shop hours are not guaranteed. If you come over and don’t see anyone be sure to ring the door bell - we may be in the back making jam!
